The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Film program offers a unique approach to studying the art of filmmaking. This holistic approach prepares students to thrive in the dynamic world of film and media production.

Through courses in production, art, and screenwriting, you'll conceptualize effective strategies for creating moving media. Classes in cinema history will challenge you to think critically about images and their meaning. Courses like Film Aesthetics and Storytelling for the Screen will provide insights into disseminating messages across a diverse array of distribution channels.

A portfolio submission is required for admission into the Film Program.

Admission Requirements

Talent-based scholarships for students intending to pursue a film degree are available through the submission of a portfolio for review. A portfolio submission is required for admission into the Film Program.

FIRST-YEARS

All freshman applicants to »Ê¼Ò»ªÈËs full-time degree programs must submit the following information:

  • A completed application form 
  • An official high school transcript
  • SAT and/or ACT scores (unless applying Test-Optional)
  • Academic recommendation 

TRANSFERS

Applying to »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË as a transfer student is easy.

  • A completed application form 
  • Personal statement
  • All official college transcripts
  • Social standing form 

If transferring less than 24 credits, we also need your:

  • Official high school transcript
  • SAT and/or ACT scores
