Art Education

Develop your creative talents by working with professional artists and master the art of teaching.

As an art education student, you will have the advantage of mentoring relationships with your professors and extensive hands-on learning opportunities in the studio and in local schools.

At »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. This unique program allows you to hone your artistic talents while learning to support students in the development of their own creative abilities. Offered by the Department of Art in conjunction with the School of Education, you can choose to pursue a B.A. or B.S. degree in art education. Your coursework will include an array of studio art and art history courses. Additionally, you'll take foundational courses that will prepare you to earn teaching certification as a K-12 Art Teacher.
